Bob and Veronica Loquercio, 2020 Chairpersons of the Navy SEAL Foundation’s Midwest Evening of Tribute, are excited to announce Miles D. White, Executive Chairman of Abbott, has been selected as the 2020 Navy SEAL Foundation Patriot Award recipient. The Foundation will present the award to Mr. White at the 9th annual Midwest Evening of Tribute on the evening of Thursday, September 3, 2020. Bob Loquercio said, “This prestigious award is presented to an individual or organization that has contributed greatly to our nation, and who has demonstrated and upheld the same values epitomized by the Navy SEAL community. We are proud to honor Miles White.”
“It’s a true honor to be associated with the Navy SEAL Foundation through this award,” said Mr. White. “The SEALs are an exemplary organization and it’s a privilege to support the Navy SEAL Foundation and all those they serve.”
Bill Strong, the 2018 Midwest Evening of Tribute Chair and member of the Foundation’s National Leadership Council, shared, “the Patriot Award recognizes Miles’ unwavering commitment to our nation, the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. His work ethic, dedication to innovation and his leadership, especially during the COVID-19 crisis, is extraordinary.”
White has made an incredible difference in advancing our nation’s healthcare through his work at Abbott, and like the SEALs themselves, he maintains a ‘no quit’ attitude with mission success as his focus.
Past recipients of the Navy SEAL Foundation Patriot Award have included Kenneth Griffin, Bob Iger, and Clint Eastwood, among others. This year’s Midwest Evening of Tribute will feature guest speaker retired General James N. Mattis, USMC.
